I’m Pregnant!

So… big news. Joseph and I are officially adding one more to the chaos—I’m pregnant! Yep, there’s a baby on the way, and suddenly my Google history is just a tragic mess of “is it normal to feel like this?” and “how many pickles can you eat before it’s too much?” Spoiler: I don’t think there is such a thing as too many pickles.

The announcement party

We threw a little get-together to spill the beans, and let me tell you, I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous to cut into a cake. Everyone was staring like the answer to life’s mysteries was hidden inside that frosting. Pink or blue? No pressure, right? When the knife finally went in and the color popped, the whole room gasped like it was a Super Bowl touchdown. My aunt nearly knocked over her wine.

February can’t come soon enough

Baby’s due in February, which feels both forever away and tomorrow at the same time. I love love love that I get to share this part of my life with you guys, because honestly, I have no idea what I’m doing. None. Every time I think I’m prepared, I remember babies don’t come with instruction manuals. But you know what? That’s okay. Between Joseph, my family, and this amazing community here in Cape Coral, I feel like we’re going to figure it out.

Right now, I’m just soaking it all in—the tiny kicks, the weird cravings, the sudden urge to nap at 3 p.m. every single day. It’s wild and wonderful and a little scary, but mostly, it feels like the start of something really beautiful. And I can’t wait to meet this little person who already owns my whole heart.
